today i had a terrible day,
one of the worst ever
nothing went my way
i was down on my luck
ancestors spent my change
and i’m thankful
almost fell into the pit
and i’m alive at the end
so i really conquered today
look at all the lessons it gave
and i’m thankful

out the shells that they wear
and that fact takes all my peace
so i replace it with leaves
